Fisher Vineyards

Fisher was a hidden gem. Perfect for all those guests who think they know all the wineries! Not easy to get to but worth the trip. Beautiful vineyard views, good wine and of course, the great family history.
Lisa Ross, Concierge, Carneros Inn

I loved Fisher winery. Being from California, this is how I remember wineries when I grew up. Very down home, no pretense, elegant and sophisticated wines in a simple and beautiful setting.
Lisa Koester, Director of Sales, Napa River Inn

A fantastic experience highlighted by both the beautiful estate grounds and the hospitality of the family and staff.  The wines are excellent and the rather remote location is more than worth the drive.

Conn Creek
Conn Creek was so unexpected. I was really impressed. I would never think of sending guests except for a quick Silverado Trail "walk-in" but now I know better.  The AVA room was a delight. Besides the blending experience, the room alone is an education!
Lisa Ross, Concierge, Carneros Inn

I was surprised and delighted at the explanation of varietals and their relation to the AVA they come from. I like the way this breaks it down for the visitor and casual wine drinker to have a better understanding of what is in their glass.
Lisa Koester, Director of Sales, Napa River Inn

So many times driving past this convenient destination and what a surprise to find both excellent wines and a unique experience that any savvy visitor to the valley would enjoy.

Chimney Rock
Tom and Carrie were such gracious hosts at Chimney Rock! It is great to have some winery lunch options, especially on the Trail where restaurants are few and far between.
Although the experience was great, I think it might need a bit of tweaking.  On a cooler day, the trek through the vineyards to the picnic area might be OK, but for the amount of discussion about the vineyards, on a hot day the courtyard would be a better bet. The courtyard would seem to be much easier for the staff as well.
Lisa Ross, Concierge, Carneros Inn

Tom and Carrie are always a delight. I loved the lunch in the vineyard concept. But again, I loved the "CONCEPT"  and perhaps that particular day would have been better off in the private tasting room. In any case the experience was wonderful and captures what people are looking for when visiting the valley.
Lisa Koester, Director of Sales, Napa River Inn

We had a great time at Chimney Rock. It is a special place and the wine and food was good. Thank you so much!
Justin Stewart, Owner, Elegant Tours

The staff was more than accommodating and the vineyard lunch experience was both relaxing and delicious.   Bring your walking shoes and appetite.  Tom and Carrie are both knowledgable and engaging.  The wines, excellent.

Elizabeth Spencer
The cottage at Elizabeth Spencer is wonderful. Of course at 65 degrees on a rather hot day, it was heaven.  Great use of space for a sit down tasting that can be tailored to each specific guest. Great!
Lisa Ross, Concierge, Carneros Inn

Their wines are as elegant as their tasting room. A really unique experience for guests looking for smaller wine tasting experience.
Lisa Koester, Director of Sales, Napa River Inn

Convenient and excellent wines appealing to those who enjoy both red and white wines. The new 'cottage' provides  a comfortable atmosphere, especially on a hot summer day, or rainy winter afternoon.  The tasting room is fairly small so the expanded patio and new cottage are a great additional to the experience.

Paradigm
Paradigm is another gem for the folks that have been to the Valley more times than they can count. Still complimentary and the short tour is generally led by owner, Ren Harris!
Hey, it's a Heidi Barrett winery, estimable but so refreshingly low key.
Lisa Ross, Concierge, Carneros Inn

This is for the guest seeking big, bold wines off the beaten path. Another nod to California wine making styles, I like supporting family owned wineries as so many of the originals have been bought out by corporate giants.
Lisa Koester, Director of Sales, Napa River Inn

Small and simple with outstanding wines and a welcoming staff.  This destination is perfect for the frequent visitor looking for great wines, and a relaxed experience.
